These terms cover how we work together when you book with 8 Wellness or use our website. By booking an appointment or using our website, you agree to them.
Who We Are
8 Wellness is a virtual naturopathic medicine clinic serving patients across Ontario, including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and Oakville. Our naturopathic doctors are Dr Sanam Arora, ND, and Dr Larry Lu, ND. In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean 8 Wellness. “You” means the patient, or the person booking on a patient’s behalf.
Our Services
We provide naturopathic care, use advanced diagnostic testing, offer individualised supplement consultations, conduct thorough health evaluations, and provide functional medicine. The programme is designed around your assessment, health history, and objectives.
How Virtual Care Works
All appointments are held via secure video. When your booking has been confirmed, we will send you both an email and a text message with a link to your virtual meeting room. You should join from a private and quiet location using a stable internet connection and must be physically in Ontario throughout your appointment. Please do not record the sessions unless we have previously agreed to it.

The information available on our website is general in nature and intended for educational purposes only. It should not be regarded as a substitute for advice from your family doctor or for a personal evaluation. A patient relationship does not begin simply by contacting us via the website; it starts only after you have been assessed. It is not advisable to send any urgent or detailed health information through the website forms or by regular email.
In an Emergency
We are not an emergency service. If you think you’re having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
Working Alongside Your Medical Care
Naturopathic care can work alongside conventional care. Please don’t stop, change, or start any prescribed medication without speaking to the doctor who prescribed it. Tell us about all medications, supplements, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and health conditions so we can recommend what’s safe for you.
Free Consultation and Booking
You can have a free 15-minute consultation so that you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions prior to booking; it is not a treatment appointment. We look after bookings, reminders, video visits, payments, and direct billing via the Jane app.
Consent to Treatment
Before carrying out any treatment or making a recommendation, we will explain what we are suggesting, the benefits to be expected, and the possible risks or side effects, and ask for your permission. At any time, you have the right to ask questions, to say no, or to change your mind.
Fees, Insurance and Payment
Our fees are shown at booking and on our Fees page. OHIP doesn’t cover naturopathic care, but many extended health plans do. Please check your plan before you book. Coverage is between you and your insurer, and you’re responsible for any amount your insurer doesn’t pay. Payment is due at the time of your appointment unless we’ve agreed otherwise. Lab and diagnostic tests, such as stool, hormone, or food sensitivity testing, and supplements are separate from visit fees.
Cancellations and Missed Appointments
- More than 48 hours before your appointment: no charge.
- Between 24 and 48 hours before: 50% of the scheduled service cost.
- Within 24 hours, or if you don’t attend: 100% of the scheduled service cost.

Gift Cards
You can use gift cards toward services and products at 8 Wellness. Gift cards have no cash value and can’t be refunded. Please check your gift card for any expiry date or conditions.
Supplements and Products
Supplements and other products are recommended for you personally. For safety, opened or used products can’t be returned. If you have a reaction, stop using the product and contact us straight away.
Results Vary
Everyone responds differently, and naturopathy aims to support you long-term, not provide instant solutions. We will do our best to help you achieve your objectives, but we cannot guarantee a cure, a particular outcome, or any time frame for doing so.
Privacy
We handle your personal health information in line with Ontario’s health privacy law and our Privacy Policy.
Liability
We provide care to the standards our regulated profession is held to. To the extent the law allows, we’re not responsible for issues outside our reasonable control, such as internet or platform outages. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Ontario law.

Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
